Each day, eight hours-long, Romanita produces around 10000-12000 blouses and dresses and up to 5000-6000 coats, skirts and trousers with different ranges of complexity. This performance requires precision, safety and accuracy.
The first chapter of this successful story is written in the technical department. According to the client’s demands this department will either receive the clothing patterns to create a sample of the product, or they will create both of them themselves. Each sample is tried on the tailor’s dummy and verified. The clothing patterns, the forms and the material used for the samples are automatically tailored using a Gemini Laser Cutter Duo 1700-900 machine, a laser cutting machine equipped with two laser head.
All production departments are equipped with air conditioning and humidity control systems so that no matter the season the temperature here would always be the one desired by the employees.
The tailoring room is equipped with three rows of automatic fabric spreading machines 20 meters long and 2 m wide, each. Each automatic fabric spreading machine is fitted with conveyor belts so that the whole process becomes more efficient, fast and synchronized.
The spreading begins using two automatic spreading machines Brio 55.
The process of cutting uses two automatic cutting machines Vector V-iX6 that shift towards the three automatic spreading machines.
The two automatic cutting machines are able to produce 20000 pieces in 8 hours.
The spreading tables, the automatic spreading machines and the automatic cutting machines were purchased from the French company LECTRA.
The forth row in the tailoring room is occupied by two English Reliant automatic interlining machines having a width of 1,20m and one Martin automatic interlining machine purchased at the end of 2014 with a width of 1,60m.
In 2014, three Italian MAICA automatic sewing machines were purchased.
Romanita owns 8 more classic MAICA machines with a productivity of 5000 details in 8 hours.
The manufacturing of the products takes place in two production departments. This is the only place in Romania where one may actually see how 600 skilled workmen are developing their daily activity, together in the same space.
The factory is provided with about 50 technical quality control workers and 20 controllers to double check every product. It also holds the following certifications: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 SI ISO 18001
